Josh founded Brandt VX in 2011 and remains its principal. He is the developer of the Victor Analytics Engine and the chief architect of Optimal Deployment Science, the framework behind every answer the firm gives. The way Victor measures readiness is his own patented invention.

The work is current, and the callers are serious: among them, some of California's largest county fire departments, fire-service work at statewide scale, and oversight agencies responsible for some of the busiest EMS systems in the country. Client names don't appear on this site; discretion is part of the service. When EMS performance ends up in a courtroom, counsel retain him as an independent expert, on either side of the dispute.

He came up on the provider side: an EMT since 2008, he ran deployment for a multi-county EMS operation running seventy-plus ambulances across seventeen thousand square miles. Victor is the instrument he wished he'd had in that seat.

He holds an MBA with a healthcare emphasis from the University of Texas at San Antonio, the Project Management Professional certification, and an active National Registry EMT credential. The rest of the résumé is where the method comes from: the U.S. Air Force, 2,200 hours as an instrument-rated pilot, the World Marathon Majors. Aviation and endurance athletics solved readiness, checklists, and pacing long before anyone asked emergency services to.
